dillon HEARTS drugs

Dillon had his two month Dr visit today. He is 11 weeks old and hearty, healthy 17lb 14oz. He is over 90th percentile for length, weight, and head circumference. The other day, a friend said, "Your baby's looking prosperous." Indeed.

Sadly, Dillon had to get shots today. He's been a remarkable sport about the whole thing. But, he is in pain. I gave him a 2-year-old's dose of infant Tylenol (as prescribed by his Dr), but he is still a little cranky. He keeps pouting his lower lip and whimpering in his sleep. Then he wakes up a little, grins dopily, realizes he hurts, and whimpers a little more before falling back to sleep. Poor bear.

Yeah, so he definitely outweighs Hyrum. H was 13 lb 12 ou two weeks ago.

His 2-month shots didn't bother him, but the morning after his 4-month shots, I picked him up out of his crib, and as soon as his little legs brushed against my torso he started crying. The new Prevnar is apparently terrible. Evelyn got an enormouse bruise where it was administered. Tylenol is our friend.

Inventive swaddling technique. Does it work?

It DOES work. This is one of the ones I made, but the legs kick out 'cause he's so big now. So, under the tie part that you can see, is a triangle. I pin each arm down by putting the points of the triangles over arms and behind back, then the bottom point comes up between his legs, then the tie holds it all together. I also like it because he doesn't get too hot if it's warm.

Um, he's more than just a little bit over the 90th percentile! That weight is almost astonishing. Cal was massive compared to his peers, but Dillon makes Cal look like SUCH a wimp! :)
